What a beautiful week this has been. The weather has been fabulous and we got the Food for Kids program underway. During worship this week we are looking at Romans 14:1-12 – “Whose invited Anyway?” We will also be taking a special offering for Strengthening the Church. It is one of our 5 UCC denominational offerings. Our money goes to strengthen new and older congregations, nurture lay and pastoral leadership, build youth and young adulty ministries and support the God is Stillspeaking Ministry of extravagant welcome.

Dinner will be chicken fajitas with rice and beans. Meals have been kind of Mexican the last couple of weeks – good thing we all love it!

Hope you can join us! Christy Moore will be with us next week to talk about table fellowship and Stone Soup. I will be back in time for dinner after a conference in Wichita on ministries for small churches. Maybe someone bringing soup would be a good idea or someone bringing the broth and everyone bringing something to add to it. Let me know if you want to take charge of dinner or have an idea to propose for the 17th.
